The ANRE Director, Eugen Carpov attended the EU-Moldova Association Committee meeting

On February 19, 2020, the Director of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE), Mr. Eugen Carpov, attended the 5th Meeting of the Association Committee of the Republic of Moldova - European Union, co-chaired by the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Mrs. Tatiana Molcean and Mr. Luc Devigne, Director for Russia, Eastern Partnership, Central Asia and OSCE, the European External Action Service.

During the event, the Mr. Carpov delivered a short presentation of ANRE’s activity on the following topics:

- the importance of enhancing the independence and the level of professionalism of the energy regulator;
- the process of separation and certification (unbundling) of the Transmission System Operators of natural gas and electricity;
- enhancing the transparency in the processes of procurement and investment in the energy sector;

Eugen Carpov

Eugen Carpov (n. 22 aprilie1966, Ungheni) este un diplomat și politician din Republica Moldova, care a îndeplinit funcția de viceprim-ministru pentru reintegrare a Republicii Moldova între 14 ianuarie2011 și 10 decembrie2014. Între 2002 și 2005 a fost ambasador al Republicii Moldova în Polonia, iar între 2005 și 2007 – ambassador și șef de misiune al Misiunii Republicii Moldova la Uniunea Europeană.^[1]

Pe 27 februarie 2015 Eugen Carpov a anunțat că părăsește fracțiunea PLDM din parlament, rămânând deputat independent. În Guvernul Leancă el a fost viceprim-ministru tehnocrat, nefiind formal afiliat politic.^[2]^[3] De asemenea, la alegerile parlamentare din 2014 din Republica Moldova a fost înscris în lista candidaților PLDM pe poziția 9,^[4] devenind deputat în parlamentul nou-ales, dar nefiind membru de partid.
