Siyabonga Mkhize (born January 24, 1994), best known by his stage name KLY (an acronym for Keep Love Young), is a South African hip hop and sultry singer, songwriter and record producer. He is most known for his major 2016 single "Too Much" which features fellow South African hip hop artist Riky Rick.[1]

Early

Mkhize was born in the coastal city of Durban. He eventually relocated with his family and was raised in Midrand, a northern suburb of Johannesburg.

During his high school years, Mkhize was part of a hip hop krump dance crew known as the 300 CRU. The crew has participated as a hosting act for Krump dance originator Tight Eyez.[2]

Mkhize went on to complete his high school studies at the end of the 2012 academic year.

Music career

KLY is a sultry singer who incorporates elements of hip hop, R&B, Jazz and trap music. He has been said to be pursuing in the footsteps of singers like Drake, PartyNextDoor, Tory Lanez and Bryson Tiller, with an African flavor and adding venecular adlibs to his music.[3]
