Kanika Maheshwari’s marriage of 11 years is ending. The actress, best remembered as Meenakshi Rathi in Diya Aur Baati Hum, tied the knot with her college sweetheart, Ankur Ghai, in January 2012. They separated a while ago and filed for divorce three months back. The divorce is expected to be granted next year.
A source informed us, “Kanika has been living apart from her husband for the last four years. She and her eight-year-old son, Nanak, reside in Mumbai, while Ankur is based in Delhi. They did try to resolve their differences but couldn’t save their marriage. Apart from compatibility issues, the two also found it difficult to maintain a long-distance marriage.”
