Ethan M. Rasiel Biography

Ethan Rasiel is the author of the international bestsellers The McKinsey Way: Using the Techniques of the World’s Top Strategic Consultants to Help You and Your Business (McGraw-Hill 1999) and The McKinsey Mind (co-written with Paul N. Friga; McGrawHill 2001).
He graduated Summa cum Laude from Princeton University with a BA in History & East Asian studies in 1986. He received his MBA in Entrepreneurial Management in 1990 from the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania where he was also the head writer for The Wharton Follies a two-hour song dance and sketch comedy stage extravaganza. Ethan then worked at the New York office of McKinsey & Co. the management consulting firm for three years where he consulted to a variety of clients mainly in financial services. In 1992 he left McKinsey and moved to London where he joined Oakes Fitzwilliams and Co. a ‘boutique’ investment bank. In late 1994 he decided to dedicate his time to writing full-time.
