Elizabeth Barraclough

When Elizabeth Barraclough was born in 1857, in Ackworth, Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom, her father, John Barraclough, was 25 and her mother, Mary Chappell, was 28. She married George Shackleton Barratt on 5 June 1876, in Ackworth, Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 5 daughters. She immigrated to Canada in 1921 and lived in Great Horton, Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom in 1911 and Calgary, Alberta, Canada for about 4 years. She died in 1944, at the age of 87, and was buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Elizabeth Barraclough is an American musician whose songs span the genres of folk, country, rock and pop. She was managed by Bob Dylan's manager Albert Grossman, and is perhaps best known for having played both live and on record with Paul Butterfield, Charlie McCoy, Kenny Buttrey, Rick Danko, Levon Helm, Richard Manuel, Garth Hudson, John Sebastian, and Todd Rundgren. Barraclough originated in New Mexico before moving to the eastern coast of the United States.
